Research Wormholes: App vs App + Google Work + Adobe Creative Suite

As a huge fan of to do list apps, i am not super into Google Works, they do have a template which is slightly awkward but works just fine. So i am trying my best to stay within the Google Work environment and not go into my my most treasured to list app ‘todoist’ which i have been loyal to for nearly four years most likely.

Compiling a huge list of my tasks which hit into the 60th row on Google Sheets file, but really its all full of things which i love doing. There is some of it all, research, design, SEO research and formulations of future conflagrations involving all my skills combined into one fire hopefully bad ass enough to burn us all rich. Actually, just doing well at my job is enough for me. One thing at a time. Getting rich sounds like a terrible lot of hassle really right now.

As my new roll involves social media management in some form, although how much so is most likely in flux dendpending on who comes into the team. But for now, i am riding those whales through waters of comments and news feeds. Now, Hootsuite i began to get up and running. I will look forward to launching it full.

i had to sign up for hootsuite’s free plan (REMEBER TO CANCEL BEFORE AUG1) – actually i think i’ve just found the perfect excuse to use my Google Calander App. Mark that down so I’m not staying paying hootsuite wasted money should they turn out not to be our thing.

That said Hootsuite really seems the time saver, i need to gather all sisal media apps so i can really see that baby unleashed in full fury. Im excited about timing posts and such, also for timed posts remember peak search times and use times should easily be researchable.

So that lead me over to Adobe to make sure all my gear is polished and shiny, i created my own Adobe subscription realizing that my teaching experience while working at The Learning Pad was enough to pass their qualification standard. Really, the only reason they allow student, etc, is because Adobe is a good company. They have policies which are decent, often releasing free versions of older releases of their programs. And look if i could afford $50/mo for Adobe i would pay them that, their services are far more valuable, the day when i have the ability to switch from instructor plan to regular plan will be one i am proud of. However, instructor as I have moonlighted in my past, and may again, who knows, I gladly will blog my worth about their programs to cover any fuzzy lines of bad-business practices.

So my new Adobe Creative Suite Subscription is more exciting than Id expected. Now i am downloading some new app simply called Creative Cloud. From my few seconds of looking into it, I guess it was enormous Adobe juggernaut, featuring the full girth of the Creative Sutie which is the most major staple of all designers tools, and this appears as if it isn’t changing anytime i can predict.

While waiting for my Adobe Nuclear Payload of awesome to fully form out of the ether and load up into my computer so that its guts can be opened and the full beauty of all its graphic designy shiny parts and intricacies will be spread out before me like some normal labyrinth of adobe program, only perhaps 8 times as large! Oh the fun I am going to have fiddling around with whatever the hell Adobe Ink and Slide is, or what i have already fell face first into, Adobe BeHast, which is next little social media app of its own, built off Adobe’s site. Mostly for media and designers of whatever sort, i found it took maybe around 30 minutes to begin transferring my portfolio from the labyrinth of folders on my hard drive onto the nice portfolio behast has already built in, which is also quick and easy. So i managed in that same time to create a beginning for me entrepneroal design, web, and seo business which i has been running since 2006, that makes Dustbunny 10 years old!

So this seems a decent way to put dustbunny together a bit since its own site is still fully taken apart and now ignored since My gene solutions has me quite busy enough for the moment!  I linked over to my partner in dustbunny the effervescent shannyn lynn. hopefully she will notice it. Also now that i have a shiny new Adobe account i will of course share my programs with her, who has had literally nothing to work with as she has her full focus on the gift of new motherhood and birth of her beautiful amazing little baby girl whose eyes are unreal. So hopefully in her free time she can mess around now fully accessing all of Adobe Suite.

Looking forward to tomorrow, today was hell day. Talk to you soon, thanks for reading my new blog

Google Work for Project Collaboration

Project Collaboration is the my favorite aspect of this industry. My favorite nature of the industry. Now, for the first time i have the opportunity to use the environment of Google Work for Team-Driven Project Collaboration Its the best, that working together inspired feeling is more beloved by me than any other feeling i can think of right now, not that I’m trying at all, i don’t really want to think about anything besides optimizing my usefulness towards teamwork.. I had expected us to use some basecamp sort of arrangement, but was pleasantly surprised to see My Gene Solutions conducts everything in the Google Work environment.

So over the past few days Ive gotten the hang of Google project environment, newsflash, theres not much to it. I have decided already that Google Work is a fairly great project management platform, especially because Google worms its way into somehow integrating itself into everything, so thats nice as long as you are too bust to stop and think about it too long. Not really sure what advantages there would be to go with anything except Google Work. As i build social media and download and launch other digital marketing related apps i am so grateful to see how Google just makes all programs with their separate environment now all feel linked in a way far superior to other project environments I’ve worked with or studied.

My (new, yes i am into ‘vintage’ phones) iPhone 5 was gifted by my ma & surprised me when she told me how she had sprung the extra bucks for bonus memory, which is nice. Now that i have this insanely powerful new (iPhone 5) i want to weird Google Work on full power! Power up the light saber! i have the thing loaded to the teeth! – Yes, I’ve downloaded and set up all apps relating to Google Work. My ability to now be fully integrated into project environment while i am away from my computer feels very powerful. Was it too much? I did turn my phone off because Google Hangouts wouldn’t cease its endless chirping (NOTE: you can uncheck notifications in the app and in Gmail) keeps me always integrated and never out of reach. My phone has become my note pad, I much prefer taking notes on it, outside on a walk or pacing around or having a smoke. Also my notes recorded onto Google Docs/ Sheets is easily sharable/ editable with a member of the team or the entire team.
